Marvel has finally made it clear who will be the big bad in its upcoming film Thunderbolts through a tickets release promo.
Although they had previously refused to confirm the identity of the character Bob, played by Lewis Pullman, fans managed to piece together all the information.
Now, the theory is confirmed as ‘Bob’ says in the clip, "I am the Void. There's no use fighting.... You don't know what I'm capable of. Maybe I need to show you."
In the international trailer for the film, the name Sentry. Mel (Geraldine Viswanathan) is mentioned as a character says, "Sentry's gone off the rails and he's dangerous. The Avengers are gone. No one is coming to save the day."
Valentina Allegra de Fontaine (Julia Louis-Dreyfus) continues in the clip, "He's invincible, all powerful, stronger than all of the Avengers rolled into one.”
A teenager struggling with schizophrenia and anxiety named Robert Reynolds steals a serum from his teacher, not knowing that it is a failed attempt at making the Super Soldier Serum. He ends up developing powers like strength, invulnerability, flight, speed, enhanced senses, and energy projection.
However, due to his issues, the serum leads to the creation of an evil alter ego named Void, to counteract which a different, ‘good’ alter ego is created called Sentry.
Pullman teased the character previously, telling Entertainment Tonight, "All I’ll say is that everyone has their own nicknames and Bob is not his only name, as Lewis is not my only name.”
