Valkyrae has addressed why she was nowhere to be found in the latest box-office success A Minecraft Movie.
The movie, released over the weekend, is based on the popular video game Minecraft and stars Jason Momoa and Jack Black.
Valkyrae had been teasing her cameo for months by sharing her on-set experiences and working with the cast and crew.
However, fans were surprised after the Twitch streamer was absent from the entire movie, leading many to draw their own conclusions about her exclusion.
On Sunday, Valkyrae broke her silence about the omitted cameo, confirming that she was cut from the blockbuster.
“As for the Minecraft Movie, let’s just say I’m not gonna touch too much on it,” the streamer said. “But as much as you guys saw the other creators that were in it, would have been the equal amount you saw me in it, which is 30 seconds. So it’s okay. I would much rather not have 30 seconds than be sued.”
The comments left many confused, with some speculating that Valkyrae’s previous remarks about Momoa were the reason behind her absence.
Last year, Valkyrae accused Momoa of mistreating the crew members during filming. “I just saw him, like, mistreat some of the crew, and it was pretty disappointing,” the 33-year-old said back in September.
Valkyrae did suggest that the behaviour could be because the actor was in character but the streamer felt uncomfortable nonetheless.
