Beyonce gets sweet tribute from mother on special day

Tina Knowles showered daughter Beyoncé and son-in-law Jay Z with love on their 17th wedding anniversary.

The couple got married on April 4, 2008 and have been together ever since, which is something to marvel over, according to the 71-year-old.

“Happy 17th anniversary to two of my favorite people in the whole wide world!!!! your love and commitment, and the ability to block out all the outside noises is remarkable,” Tina wrote alongside a montage of the pair’s throwback videos in an Instagram post.

The caption, which was decorated with nine red hearts, continued, “True love rises above all the bulls---. Enjoy your day.”

The song backing up the montage contained the lyrics, “You’re best friend, you’re my husband. You are my doctor, counselor, provider, professor, my everything, and I love you,” which is a snippet of Beyoncé's 2006 track, Still in Love (Kissing You).

The post comes just two weeks after the American businesswoman had defended the duo’s children 7-year-old twins, Rumi and Sir, against Kanye West.

The Heartless singer had questioned the mental capacity of the children, to which Tina had cryptically noted, “It’s hard to remain positive and classy in the face of ignorance and evil. But I know that no weapon formed against me or my family shall prosper.”
