Just like Cooper pleading to his past self against leaving Murph, many fans would probably be doing something similar.

It is a common occurrence for Netflix subscribers when a fan-favourite movie leaves the streaming service.

Fans often express their frustration on social media but quickly move on. However, some subscribers might find it extra difficult to say goodbye to one title in particular.

Christopher Nolan’s 2014 sci-fi epic Interstellar is leaving Netflix US on March 31.

The film was made available on the platform in January after its tenth-anniversary IMAX re-release last year.

It is worth noting that the Matthew McConaughey-starring blockbuster was not available on Netflix in a number of regions including South Asia.

Many of Interstellar’s fans would find it hard to believe that the movie divided Nolan’s fans and critics alike upon its original release in November 2014.

The film’s initial 72% Rotten Tomatoes score was also below what fans usually expect from a Nolan flick.

However, the movie has stood the test of time and is now widely regarded as one of the best films of the last decade.

It also often gets compared to Stanley Kubrick’s space opera 2001: A Space Odyssey.
