Why Meghan Markle left Prince Harry behind in Canada?

Meghan Markle has finally revealed the reason why she returned to Montecito on Tuesday midway-through the Invictus Games.

The Duchess of Sussex cleared the air about her decision by sharing a photo on her Instagram Story with a caption. “A taste of Canada and The Invictus Games for our little ones [Lilibet and Archie, the couple’s children]! Cheering you on from home.”

On the other hand a source, close to the couple, also revealed the reason for Meghan’s exit, saying: “This was always planned. Meghan is going home to be with her children [Lilibet and Archie, who are in Montecito, California]."

As reported by Hello!, the insider claimed: "Meghan left the games in Dusseldorf early after five days to go home. This is Prince Harry’s event, and she is there to support him, but this was planned.”

Even after returning to Montecito, the former Suits star continued supporting the competitors by sending Harry a special message. She even displayed gifts she brought home for Prince Archie, five, and Princess Lilibet, three.

The snap showed sweet treats such as chocolate bear paws and nougat, Timbits, bite-size donuts from Canadian-based franchise and personalised green jerseys for the youngsters.

Meghan wrote in caption: "A taste of Canada and The Invictus Games for our little ones!"

She made clear that despite leaving Canada, she will continue to follow her husband's Games from Los Angeles. "Cheering you on from home!" she added.

Meghan left the games in Canada early after five days to go home. However, Harry will remain in the country until the Games conclude on February 16.
