Prince Andrew’s image remains tarnished as a royal expert delivered a scathing assessment following the latest revelations in the Jeffrey Epstein saga.
Royal commentator Richard Fitzwilliams told Fox News Digital that Andrew “remains an embarrassment to the royal family,” slamming the Duke of York as an “entitled imbecile” and insisting that his future is “well behind him” unless he demonstrates true repentance or dedicates himself to helping others.
His harsh verdict comes just as the FBI and US Department of Justice concluded that Epstein did not possess a so-called “client list” and that his 2019 death was indeed suicide, contrary to long-held conspiracy theories.
A newly obtained DOJ memo explicitly stated: “No credible evidence was found that Epstein blackmailed prominent individuals… [or] any incriminating client list.”
Despite this, Fitzwilliams says the damage to Prince Andrew’s reputation is irreversible: “He can only appear alongside the Royal Family inside a church without attracting fiercely negative comment.”
The Duke’s infamous 2019 BBC Newsnight interview, where he attempted to explain his friendship with Epstein and address allegations from Virginia Giuffre, hastened his fall from grace.
Though Andrew has denied wrongdoing and settled Giuffre’s civil case out of court without admitting guilt, he was stripped of his royal duties, HRH status, and military titles.
