Meghan Markle rubbed salt in Harrys wounds instead of healing them, expert claims

Meghan Markle has been accused of making Prince Harry’s pain worse, with a scathing new column claiming she “re-opened” the duke’s emotional wounds rather than helping him heal.

Writing for The Daily Mail, veteran columnist Sarah Vine argued that Meghan encouraged Harry to turn his back on the monarchy, and is still obsessed with the royal family despite walking away from royal life in 2020.

“When someone is in as much pain as Harry clearly is, they lash out at anyone within reach, especially those tied to them by blood,” Vine wrote.

“Instead of helping him heal, she seems to have re-opened his wounds, or even rubbed salt in them.”

Vine continued: “They've walked away, but they keep looking over their shoulders. They are obsessed with the very thing they supposedly hate.”

The columnist contrasted Harry’s journey with Prince William’s, suggesting William has coped better thanks to the “strength and stay” of Princess Kate, while Meghan has done the opposite.

While Harry and Meghan have spent years publicly criticising the monarchy, Harry appears to be seeking a path to reconciliation.

Last week, his senior staff met with one of King Charles’s top aides in London in what insiders have described as an informal “peace summit.”
