No one wants to be King or Queen: Prince Harry

Prince Harry once revealed that he there was no one willing to take on the duties of King or Queen and that they would have to accept their fate when the time eventually came.

In a 2017 interview with Angela Levin, the Duke of Sussex spoke about his struggles of finding a footing in the royal family as he attempted to fit in.

He went on to elaborate that following Queen Elizabeth II the monarchy would be forced to bring in a some changes in a bid to be more modern.

"We want to make sure the monarchy lasts and are passionate about what it stands for," Prince Harry said as per the DailyMail.

"We feel that the British public and the whole world needs institutions like this, but it can't go on as it has done under the Queen. There will be changes and pressure to get them right.

"Things are moving so fast, especially because of social media, so we are involved in modernising the monarchy."

He went on to add that no one in the royal family was interested in becoming King or Queen due to the changes ahead.  

He said: "Is there any one of the Royal Family who wants to be King or Queen? I don't think so, but we will carry out our duties at the right time."
