John Mayer will headline several arenas for the tour lasting a month

John Mayer has announced his first-ever solo acoustic tour.

The 45-year-old guitarist took to Twitter Thursday, Jan. 26, to announce the arena tour, writing: “Just like the early days. I’ll be playing old songs. Newer songs. Songs you haven’t heard yet that I’ll be road testing — all on acoustic, electric, and piano.”

The 19-day tour will kick off on Mar. 11 and include stops in Pittsburgh, New York, Toronto, Seattle, Los Angeles, and more.

The tickets for the upcoming tour will go on sale at 9 a.m. on Feb. 3 on his official website.

Fans can also avail of presale tickets on Feb. 1 by signing up for membership.

LiveNation shared that the solo venture will be the first time Mayer will go on the road without accompaniment.

He will be performing his hits, including New Light, Gravity, Daughters, Waiting on the World to Change and Your Body Is a Wonderland, as full acoustic sets, with some “special performances” on electric guitar and piano.

Lizzy McAlpine, Alec Benjamin, and an unannounced “special guest” will be the opening acts.
