Meghan Markle “Beyoncé of the UK”

Meghan Markle thought she would become the “Beyoncé of the UK” after tying knot with Prince Harry, it has been claimed in a new royal book Courtiers: The Hidden Power Behind the Crown.

According to Daily Mail, the author of the upcoming book Valentine Low revealed that Duchess of Sussex was disappointed by the stringent protocols of life in the royal family and felt “cornered and misunderstood” by the “firm”.

In an excerpt published in The Times, a source told Low, “I think Meghan thought she was going to be the Beyoncé of the UK. Being part of the royal family would give her that kudos.”

“Whereas what she discovered was that there were so many rules that were so ridiculous that she couldn't even do the things that she could do as a private individual, which is tough,” it read.

In addition, the source spilled to royal author about Meghan and Harry’s moving out from the Palace which was reportedly handled “beyond belief”.

“Harry and Meghan felt cornered, misunderstood and deeply unhappy,” wrote Valentine in his book.

Not only that, the former Suits actress’ ex-staff were left “broken and terrified” by her alleged screaming tantrums.

Talking about an incident where Meghan reportedly rebuked a young female staffer in front of her co-workers.

“Don’t worry. If there was literally anyone else I could ask to do this, I would be asking them instead of you,” said the 41-year-old.
