Spy Kids reboot movie to star Gina Rodriguez and Zachary Levi

Spy Kids Netflix Reboot movie is going to have Gina Rodriguez and Zachary Levi in it.

The two are slated to play the key adult parts in Robert Rodriguez's planned remake of his own 2001 film Spy Kids, which starred Antonio Banderas and Carla Gugino.

The first media outlet to publish the news, Deadline, adds that Everly Carganilla and Connor Esterson will join Levi, 41, and Gina, 37, in the child roles.

According to Deadline, the movie “is set after the children of the world's greatest secret agents unwittingly help a powerful game developer unleash a computer virus that gives him control of all technology, leading them to become spies themselves to save their parents and the world”, and will be premiered on Netflix.

Brother and Sister Carmen and Juni Cortez, who are unaware of their parents' involvement for the Organization of Super Spies, were the focus of the original movie starring Gugino, 50, and Banderas, 61.
