Kim Kardashian damages Marilyn Monroe's historic dress: See

Kim Kardashian is under fire as the pictures of Marilyn Monroe’s damaged dress make rounds on social media

The Marilyn Monroe Collection, which hoards the world’s largest private collection of Monroe items, posted the alleged before and after pictures of the historic dress on its Instagram.

The collection claimed that the damages were found on the dress after Kim Kardashian wore it to Met Gala on May 2nd.

In the pictures, it could be seen that the back of the dress was missing some crystals and some were left hanging by the thread.

The post also referred to the rips and tears on the fabric.

Monroe wore the dress during President John F. Kennedy’s 45th birthday celebration, where she sang a sultry version of “Happy Birthday” to him at Madison Square Garden in New York City.

Last month, Kim Kardashian sparked fans’ outrage after she insisted on wearing the dress at Met Gala.

The viral video of Kim struggling to fit into the dress also surfaced on the internet. The dress was auctioned to tagged Ripley’s Believe It or Not, which bought the dress for $4.8 million in 2016.
