Trolls are demanding that Chris Pratt be removed from Guardians of the Galaxy

Guardians of the Galaxy director James Gunn has jumped into Chris Pratt’s defense after a troll asked the franchise to remove the actor for his alleged involvement with a church that conducts gay conversion therapy.

The troll, who goes by the username @themeghanlodon_ shared side by side photos of the actor and Patrick Wilson with text that read: "Marvel. Hear me out. Just…replace him."

While a lot of Twitter users sided with the commentator, Gunn was not having any of it and sided with Pratt as he fired back saying: "For what? Because of your made-up, utterly-false beliefs about him? For something that someone else told you about him that’s not true? Chris Pratt would never be replaced as Star-Lord but, if he ever was, we would all be going with him."

He also responded to the church allegations saying: "He isn’t. I know the church he currently goes to. Do you? (The answer is you don’t, but you heard from someone who heard from someone who heard from someone where he goes to church, so decided, 'yeah, okay, I’ll believe this terrible thing I heard online about this celebrity!'"
