Queen Elizabeth calls off pre-Christmas celebrations owing to pandemic outbreak once again

Queen Elizabeth canceled pre-Christmas traditional lunch in wake of the new surge of COVID-19 cases in the U.K.

The ruling monarch wanted to reunite all her extended family members for an annual get-together but unfortunately the queen did not get the honor of hosting them a good lunch.

A source informed Fox News, "The decision is a precautionary one as it is felt to put too many people’s Christmas arrangements at risk if it went ahead.” Further adding, the source stated, "While there is regret that it is canceled, there is a belief it is the right thing to do for all concerned."

Government advisers have urged the citizens to scale back pre-holiday gatherings.

This time the large gathering was supposed to be held in Windsor Castle where Elizabeth had been residing due to health scare.

Every year, the royal family spend holidays with the queen at their estate and open their gifts on Christmas Eve but since the COVID outbreak it has become hard for the family to gather and attend their traditional Christmas rituals together.
