Prince William asks social media platforms to take action against racist abuse

According to Daily Mail, Prince William consoled three black players of England football team who faced racist abuse online after the team lost to Italy in Euro 2020 final.

As per reports, the Duke of Cambridge spoke to Football Association about asking social media companies to fight against racist abuse.

Sources told the outlet that William was “sickened” by the abuse targeted at the players.

After last week’s defeat, William released a statement that read as, “It must stop now and all those involved should be held accountable.”
