Recently, Prince William talked to healthcare staff and frontline workers from all over the United Kingdom via video call and praised them for their efforts during the ongoing coronavirus pandemic. He also expressed that he is happy for grandparents as they received the COVID-19 vaccine.
"My grandparents have had the vaccine and I'm very proud of them for doing that. It's really important that everyone gets their vaccine,” the 38-year-old stated.
Previously, Buckingham Palace announced that both The Duke of Edinburgh and Queen received coronavirus vaccinations. A source told PEOPLE “The Queen and The Duke of Edinburgh have today received Covid-19 vaccinations”.
Moreover, the Duke of Cambridge also praised the healthcare workers for their efforts and their participation in the vaccine drive. He said the collective effort is needed to fight COVID-19.
