Jim Carrey refuses to play Joe Biden on SNL

On Saturday, 19th December Jim Carrey took to twitter and announced that he will not be playing Joe Biden on Saturday Night Live.

“Though my term was only meant to be 6 weeks,I was thrilled to be elected as your SNL President...comedy’s highest call of duty. I would love to go forward knowing that Biden was the victor because I nailed that [explicit]. But I am just one in a long line of proud, fighting SNL Bidens!” the 58-year-old star tweeted.

Moreover, Saturday Night Live retweeted his tweet and wrote “Thank you to Jim Carrey for showing up when it mattered”.

Previously, Jason Sudeikis, John Mulaney and Woody Harrelson has played Joe Biden on the show. However, it still has not been confirmed who will be playing next as Joe Biden.
