Netflix fans are talking about Seoyeon Jang after her breakout turn in Beef Season 2, which has dropped and already come with a shocking twist.

The 31-year-old British-Korean actress has “manifested” her way into the elite cast, with her character Eunice shifting the tone of the series.

After five days of streaming, viewers say she’s stealing scenes from Oscar Isaac and Carey Mulligan.

Weeks before her audition, Jang scrolled Instagram and stumbled on a clip from the Emmy-winning first season.

She thought: “This is the kind of role that I want to do", then forgot about it.

Days later, the audition invite arrived, leaving her stunned.

Raised in London, she never expected a Hollywood break, let alone working alongside Oscar winner Youn Yuh-jung.

Before acting, Jang spent years in South Korea as a K-pop trainee.

She later moved into Korean dramas before landing global projects.

In Beef Season 2 she plays Eunice, a sharp translator and assistant to Chairwoman Park.

At first in the background, she soon becomes a powerful presence.

One standout moment sees her quip, “There’s nothing worth translating,” leaving fans laughing.

The role hits close to home as Jang has spoken about her mother not speaking English when they moved to London, meaning she and her brother often had to translate.

That lived experience brings authenticity to the performance, with creator Lee Sung Jin weaving in emotional realism.

Notaby, it marks a true breakout moment on the international stage.
