Jason Ritter is opening up about his daughter and her opinions on his acting career and if she wants to follow in her father and mother’s footsteps.
The Gravity Falls actor gushed over the little one, whose name the parents have not yet unveiled, and on her father’s character on Matlock.
In an episode of Ted Danson’s podcast Where Everybody Knows Your Name, the 46-year-old stated that the 7-year-old sort of has an idea about her parents’ careers but that she couldn’t care less.
“Yeah, she’s a little bit like…there was one time where she said to us, ‘Guys, is it okay that I don’t want to be an actor?' And we’re like, ‘Yes! Of course! We’re not gonna force you into it.’ That would be so horrible,” Jason said.
"But yeah, she has some idea of it, but then she’ll also say things like, ‘I wish your character would die on Matlock.' And I’m like, ‘No. You. Don’t. Please don’t say that,’" he added.
The Raising Dion star has shared in the past that the only child is not a fan of his dances associated with his Matlock theme song and has fondly dubbed him the most embarrassing person.
