Jennie Garth finally breaks silence on Facinelli divorce pain

Jennie Garth has finally opened up about the emotional impact of her 2012 divorce to Peter Facinelli.

The Beverly Hills, 90210 main star revealed that she started to hold onto the bitterness and it started to destroy her relationships and self-esteem.

The 54-year-old actress, whose memoir I Choose Me: Chasing Joy, Finding Purpose & Embracing Reinvention is a reflection of her years after parting ways with Facinelli and 17 years of living together and three kids.

She went on to mark, "I noticed my light really dimming. I wasn't putting off good vibes," 

Garth noted, "I could see it in the mirror. I could look at the negative impact that that kind of grief and anger was having on me."

"And there was a weird switch where one day I just said, 'I don't want to carry this anymore. It's impacting my relationships and how I feel about myself,'" she recalled to herself. 

"'I've got to let it go. I've got to forgive him,'" she punched.

Garth and Facinelli also have daughters named Luca, 28, Lola, 22, and Fiona, 19 and notably divorced in the year 2013. 

Facinelli has since gotten married to actress Lily Anne Harrison in 2019.

The memoir by Garth is to be released later this year, she has not stated a definite date of publication.
