Inside Jason and Kylie Kelce's public battle over German shepherd's name

Jason and Kylie Kelce are in a dilemma on the name to give the new German shepherd puppy.

The pair recently had a new friend member to the four daughters they share and have already given her various names.

On Wednesday, April 8, the 38-year-old retired NFL star revealed the latest addition to his family.

For the unversed, the famous Kelce brothers native to National Football League hosts of his New Heights podcast together.

"This is Frida, or as everyone is calling Freddie. Everyone is calling her Freddie around the house," Jason said.

But the pup is given a nickname by Jason. "I am calling her Gunda," he said, in a German accent.

He went on to note the reason, "Because I like that name better." adding dog's breed, "She is German."

The naming debate started when Kylie initially reported she was adopting the dog on the March 31 FAFO episode and would name the dog "Bernadette."

In the April 2nd episode of her podcast Not Gonna Lie, she told, "Her name is Matilda. We think."

She also revealed that "Broomhilda" was a serious contender suggested by the former professional footballer.

"I want people to remember that the next time they come at me about how we named our four children, because do you see what I'm working with?" she jested.

Jason and Kylie have four daughters Wyatt, six, Elliotte, five, Bennett, three and Finn, one. 

Notably, the duo own an Irish Wolfhound, Nessie, as well.
