Paul Rudd recently opened up about his profession before he became a full-fledged actor in Hollywood.

The American actor, who is currently busy promoting his new movie, Power Ballad, along with Nick Jonas, revealed that he worked as a DJ prior to his acting career.

“I was in school. I could work on the weekends — Bat mitzvahs and weddings and birthdays. I did that for about a year,” said the 57-year-old in an exclusive interview with PEOPLE.

Paul told the outlet, “If I wanted the kids to get out there, I knew that ‘Can't Touch This’ (by MC Hammer) was a big one.”

The Ant-Man actor admitted he was quite good with his DJ skills like if he “wanted the grandparents to dance then it’s Glenn Miller,” as he referred to the famous WWII-era musician.

This is not the first time Paul talked about working odd jobs while pursuing his dream of becoming an actor.

He recalled that his life didn’t change after starring in a Nintendo commercial in 1991.

“I didn't really feel so famous,” he spilled to PEOPLE.

Paul shared, “I was a working actor and I still had a regular job when I was doing [the] commercial.”

“And then as it slowly started to — as I started getting more work — occasionally someone would say, 'Hey, Clueless!' or whatever,” referring to his role in the 1995 classic teen comedy.

However, Paul noted that nothing felt so different at the time.

“I think just the very nature of the time when there was no social media, there was no internet — everything just went by just a little bit slower,” added the actor.
