Jasveen Sangha, known as the “Ketamine Queen,” has been jailed for 15 years after pleading guilty in relation to the overdose death of actor Matthew Perry.
Based on recent key findings, the accused, who was additionally sentenced to three years of supervised release, acknowledged five federal charges in the case.
Daily Mail reports that she has remained in federal custody following her arrest in August 2024, as per records.
Prosecutors had recommended the 15 year sentence in a filing submitted in March, describing her as a “drug dealer who sold drugs that hurt people.”
They further alleged that she continued distributing ketamine even after learning it was linked to Perry’s death, stating that “she didn’t care and kept selling.”
On October 28, 2023, the Friends star was found unresponsive in a jacuzzi at his Pacific Palisades home and was pronounced dead at the scene.
The Los Angeles County Medical Examiner later confirmed the cause of death as an accidental ketamine overdose.
According to the outlet, the authorities stated that the woman worked alongside Erik Fleming to supply ketamine to Perry.
In the month of his death, prosecutors said the pair provided 51 vials of the drug, which were passed to Perry’s personal assistant, Kenneth Iwamasa, who administered multiple injections, including several on the day Perry died.
Following news of Perry’s passing, Sangha allegedly instructed Fleming via an encrypted messaging app to “Delete all our messages.”
Meanwhile, Sangha had pleaded guilty to multiple charges, including distributing ketamine resulting in death, while co-defendants in the case have also entered guilty pleas and are awaiting sentencing.
