Olivia Munn is dishing on the male co-actors she worked with on action films and the sexist stereotype that would come up time and time again.

The Office Christmas Party actress revealed that there have been a few instances when her female character was an authoritative figure such as a cop or CIA agent rescuing a male character which the real life actors did not like.

In a recent appearance on The Drew Barrymore Show, the Your Friends & Neighbors star opened up about a specific, unnamed actor was being difficult because of this, while they filmed a gunfight scene in an underground bunker.

As per the script, the male co-star was supposed to guard his side, she hers and then they were to switch sides with her shooting a guy that was coming for her.

“And then we’re about to shoot and, somehow, I guess he didn’t read the script and in that moment, he realized, ‘Wait, wait, wait. Hold on. She can’t save me. No, no. She can’t save me,’” Olivia said, adding, “There was no insecurity about being obnoxious…”

The X-Men: Apocalypse actress stated that after almost an hour of presumably the director and others attempting to reason with him, she had an idea.

“Finally, after like 45 minutes of just stopping down, I said, ‘OK, how about instead of my character saving you, it’s just that we switch because it’s time for us to switch and so this is my guy to get,’ and he was like, ‘OK,’” Olivia dished.

The 45-year-old admitted to the host and audience who were laughing that she was aware that nothing had changed but the male co-star’s mindset.

Notably, Olivia basically tricked him into thinking that the situation had changed but it had not.
