Tom Holland is stepping up for the big screen, and he’s not holding back.

The 29-year-old star, best known for swinging into action as Peter Parker in Spider-Man: Brand New Day, has made it clear he’s fiercely protective of the cinema experience.

In a candid chat with GQ, Tom admitted he’s on a mission to keep traditional movie-going alive and thriving.

“I am a real advocate for theatrical and the cinema,” he said, stressing the magic of sitting in a dark room with strangers, all sharing the same story.

It’s not just nostalgia either as The Impossible actor revealed he plans to spend the next decade actively backing studios that prioritise big-screen releases.

It's worth noting that behind the blockbuster smile, though, life hasn’t always been simple.

The Odyssey star has been thrust into global superstardom since joining the Marvel Cinematic Universe, and he admits fame comes with its fair share of challenges.

Speaking on the Dish podcast, he described celebrity life as a “constant balancing act”, explaining how he tries to stay grounded despite the noise.

“It’s about being aware of what’s being said, but not letting it change who you are,” he shared.

Apart from this, Tom also had a cheeky message for critics that if you’ve got a problem, text him and if you don’t have his number, maybe you don’t know him well enough to judge.
