Regé-jean Page opened up about the constant questions about him playing the next James bond and what does he feel about them.

The British star who is still grappling with the attention he received following his breakout role as Simon Basset, the Duke of Hastings, from Bridgerton, discussed the Bond role.

In an interview with the Esquire UK, the You, Me & Tuscany star admitted that the incessant rumours about who'll inherit the Bond mantle from Daniel Craig are intense and "a little unusual."

"It is strange, it's not normal,” he said. “How I navigate it is very much about what is useful, what serves me in my job, in being able to deliver what I need to deliver to an audience, and a lot of that is just grounding.”

Further discussing about his popularity since Bridgerton, the Black Bag actor added, “It does get quite loud on the inside.”

The 38-year-old actor said that the constant attention and discussions felt extremely intense, adding that he made a conscious effort to handle the situation in a way that allowed him maintain a sense of normalcy.

Previously in an appearance at The Tonight Show, Page told Jimmy Fallon that as a British receiving the iconic role is like receive a merit badge.

You, Me & Tuscany is slated for release on April 10.
