Maya Hawke shared her disappointment over missing a final moment with Vecna in Stranger Things season finale.
Her character Robin Buckley, who has been a vital part of the group and best friend of Steve Harrington (Joe Keery), was not among the group who went in the Upside Down to kill the villain.
In an interview with the Rolling Stone, the Inside Out 2 actress said, "I really wanted to have a final scene with the people that I had spent the most time with working on the show, and I understand why it bugged people."
Ethan Hawke and Uma Thurman's daughter went on to say that the way show concluded gave cast a sense of closure and recognition.
She said it allowed them to see their work reflected in the characters' journeys and feel that their time and effort on the show were acknowledged, which was deeply meaningful to her.
Hawke then reflected on the last scene with Steve (Harrington), Jonathan Byers (Charlie Heaton) and Nancy Wheeler (Natalia Dyer).
She said, "So I was not mad about anything. I was very, very grateful for the catharsis that I had on that rooftop. If the catharsis didn't feel right to anyone else, I'm sorry, but it meant the world to me.”
Few months after the grand finale of hit Netflix series, the actress tied the knot with her long-time boyfriend now husband, Christian Lee Hudson, in an intimate ceremony in New York City on Valentine’s Day.
All seasons of Stranger Things are now streaming.'
