Maya Hawke is opening up about the impact Taylor Swift and her music has had on people, detailing how much of a fan she herself is of the global popstar.
The Little Women actress revealed that she is inspired by the 14-time Grammy winner ahead of the release of her fourth studio album Maitreya Corso which comes out on May 1.
In an interview with Rolling Stone, published on March 19, the musician said, “I think she made a generation of young people who listen to music and think, 'Oh, wow, my life could matter. Like, my feelings could matter.'"
“ I was hugely influenced by her, I mean I’ve been listening to her music my entire life. You could start any song from any word and I would be able to know where you were and finish it probably so it’s an undeniable influence,” Maya said of Taylor.
The musician’s father, Ethan Hawke has also praised the Chloe or Sam or Sophia or Marcus singer after he featured in her music video for Fortnight off of The Tortured Poets Department.
Notably, Ethan had mentioned at the time that his daughters are big fans of Taylor but that he couldn’t tell him about his involvement in the video because of a nondisclosure agreement.
