Luke Thompson reveals whether he will be in 'Bridgerton' new seasons

Luke Thompson broke his silence on his return to the upcoming Bridgerton season.

The fourth season concluded on his character, Benedict Bridgerton's engagement with Yerin Ha’s Sophie Baek, however the star doubts that this will be the last of him the fans will saw.

In an interview with Parade, weighing on his comeback, he said, "I doubt it. I doubt it. He's part of the family, so I’m sure he’ll still be around as well as, you know, making way for the new siblings, but, yeah, of course, of course."

"He’s part of the family," he added.

While Pheobe Dynevor (Daphne Bridgerton) left the show after season 2, Luke Newton (Colin), Jonathan Bailey (Anthony) have continued to appear despite their respective stories have been told.

Talking about wrapping up the season, the Dunkirk star rather than feeling relieved he admitted that he was a "little bit emotional."

"A little bit like, 'Oh, that was that. [Laughs] That’s what that was.' It’s so difficult to comprehend, maybe because I’ve spent so long on the one side of it," he said.

Meanwhile, for the upcoming seasons five and six, the showrunners Jess Brownell has already given fans a big hint.

She told Decider, "We want to give fans a moment to really celebrate Yerin and Luke and everything they’ve put into this season, but we are starting production very soon on season 5."

While it’s not revealed who will the focus of next part, at season 4 red-carpet premiere in Paris, showrunner Brownell wore two pocket squares embroidered with the letters 'E' and 'F' hinting at Claudia Jessie (Eloise) or Hannah Dodd (Francesca).

All seasons of Bridgerton from one to four are available on Netflix.
