Daniel Radcliffe opened up about the conversations he had with Emma Watson and Rupert Grint about the new Harry Potter TV series, and how it gave him a new point of view.

The series starring Dominic McLaughlin (Harry), Alastair Stout (Ron Weasely) and Arabella Stanton (Hermione Granger), will begin its production in July.

The Now You See Me 2 actor, revealed that he along with Grint and Watson felt "surreal" after learning about the new cast and are processing it together.

In an interview with the People magazine, the Jungle star admitted that he and his former castmates haven't had "a ton of communication about the show specifically," but they all are feeling the same range of emotions.

Explaining his emotions, he said, "You just see the pictures of these kids, and you just want to grab them and hug them. That's the impulse that I think that we, mainly, all have."

Radcliffe went on to Share how the new cast has changed his perspective on his own childhood experience.

Looking inside from outside of the bubble, the Kill Your Darlings actor, who himself was 11-year-old during the first film in 2001, admitted that doing something this huge being that young makes you think, "I'm the oldest I've ever been."

However, seeing McLaughlin working on the first book, gave him a complete different take.

"'when I meet 11-year-olds, I am like, 'Whoa, that seems nuts.' It puts into perspective,'" he said.

He went on to express his gratitude to his parents for getting him through "something crazy with a huge amount of humour."

Harry Potter TV series season one seemingly based on the first book Philosopher/Sorcerer Stone, will be released somewhere in 2027.
