Ryan Hurst, who is known for his roles in Titans and Sons of Anarchy, retains his affiliation with God of War.

After being the voice of Thor in the PlayStation game series, the 49-year-old is confirmed to be acting in the live-action series for Prime Video.

It was revealed by Deadline that Ryan will be playing Kratos in the upcoming project from Sony Pictures Television and Amazon MGM Studios.

The casting generally received a green signal from his fans after he shared the update on his Instagram’s official account.

One of the users pointed out that “he seems like a calm & reasonable person,” while another fan approved: “Yeah this is the only acceptable casting. So good job.”

An X user admitted that the addition of the actor to God of War is a “Holy W casting.”

Casting for other roles and production have also begun as the mythological project is being made in to a “two-season order.”

What is the story of God of War?

The story revolves around Kratos and his son Atreus travel to “spread the ashes” of Faye, who is their wife and mother.

While Kratos attempts to coach his son on becoming a better god, Atreus in return teaches his father on becoming a better human.

The two characters come across several adventures on their journey.
