Stranger Things has taken over the entire world in both reel and real life as it officially broke streaming records after the first volume dropped.

However, it aims to become unstoppable as the next instalment is expected to push Netflix's records further.

As part 2 releases on Christmas, the official page of the series turned to Instagram to share a snip of powerful Vecna with the caption: “it’s stranger things eve” and not XMAS eve.

The picture had text that reads: “Heard there’s no Santa this year just this guy” who captivated children and is looking forward to open doors to the dark world in the story.

It appears fans are not complaining about the “No Santa” situation as the fandom re-named the annual holiday as “Strangemas!!”

Another netizen joked about absence of gifts, playfully teasing “The only Christmas present I am excited to receive tomorrow.”

A third fan is “saving cookies and milk for Vecna/ Henry,” while another user demands the protagonist “better not touch Steve Harrington.”

This came after the show made history with reported 8.46 billion viewing minutes “over the extended weekend of Thanksgiving.”

Is Stranger Things the number one show on Netflix?

Stranger Things dethroned Nielsen records by more than 1 billion minutes on the streaming giant. It is to be noted that the show has not only taken over the special day but also every other holiday season.

After its first volume on Thanksgiving and the second part to come out on the XMAS, the final episode will premiere on the New Year’s eve.
