Tom Holland wraps new Spider-Man film: Exclusive details revealed

Tom Holland is officially swinging back into action and fans couldn’t be more excited.

The 29-year-old Spider-Man star has wrapped filming on his fourth outing as the web-slinger, marking a major milestone for the Marvel franchise and bringing Peter Parker one step closer to returning to cinema screens.

Director Destin Daniel Cretton confirmed the big news on Instagram, calling Spider-Man: Brand New Day “the biggest, most rewarding film” he has ever worked on.

Sharing behind-the-scenes snaps with Holland and the crew, Cretton praised the actor’s dedication, leadership and “fearless performances”, making it clear this chapter of Spider-Man means a lot to everyone involved.

Filming kicked off in August in Glasgow, with The Odyssey star giving fans a glimpse of his first day on set. 

It's worth noting that the production wasn’t without drama, though. 

Uncharted actor suffered a mild concussion in September, briefly halting filming.

Thankfully, he bounced back quickly and was soon spotted back in the iconic suit, proving once again his commitment to the role.

Adding extra buzz is the presence of Zendaya, his real-life fiancée, who is expected to reprise her role as MJ despite No Way Home’s emotional ending. 

The couple were seen together on set in London, delighting fans who love both their on-screen and off-screen chemistry. 

For the unversed, Jacob Batalon and Jon Favreau are also back, while Sadie Sink and Liza Colón-Zayas join the cast.

With Spider-Man: Brand New Day set for release on July 31, just weeks after Holland and Zendaya’s other film The Odyssey, 2025 is shaping up to be a huge year for Hollywood’s favourite superhero couple.
