Ariana Grande shocks fans with spot on Katy Perry impression for SNL

Ariana Grande appeared on Saturday Night Live on December 20, taking the stage as a host for the third time along with Bowen Yang.

At the 35-year-old’s last show before his retirement, the 32-year-old singer used her melodious voice to enchant the audience.

The Grammy winner dressed in a space suit like Katy Perry, singing her hit track Firework for SNL show with Macello Hernandez impersonating Bob Dylan.

She hit the exact notes while singing: “Baby you are a Christmas tree,” referring to the fast approaching holiday.

Despite being a parody, the songstress shocked her fans as one of the X users complimented: “WHY SHE LOWKEY ATE THAT UP.”

Another fan gushed about the Side to Side hitmaker’s “ability to sound like anyone she wants,” while a third netizen was of the opinion: “Copied her down to the unstable vibrato.”

In her monologue, the singer gave her performance of the famous All I Want For Christmas Is You by Mariah Carey on the year-end’s special episode.

This came after Ariana and other cast members of Wicked worried admirers for concerning weight loss after joining the franchise.

However, the Bang Bang crooner shut down the rumours by addressing the dramatic change, admitting she “had lived on junk food for years.”

Contrary to the popular belief, she revealed engaging in physical activity daily and changing her “eating habits.”
