Prince William and Kate Middleton were spotted arriving at Buckingham Palace for the Royal Family’s traditional pre-Christmas lunch, joined by their three children.
The Prince and Princess of Wales looked in high spirits as they drove into the iconic London residence alongside Prince George, Princess Charlotte and Prince Louis. The festive gathering is a long-standing royal tradition held ahead of Christmas Day celebrations at Sandringham.
Also seen arriving were Princess Beatrice and Princess Eugenie, who travelled together in the same car. Their appearance marked a notable reunion with senior royals following recent controversies surrounding their parents, Andrew Mountbatten-Windsor and Sarah Ferguson.
The sisters’ attendance was particularly significant as it marked their first public appearance with the Royal Family since they did not attend Princess Kate’s annual Christmas carol concert at Westminster Abbey earlier this month.
Although Beatrice and Eugenie were absent from the carol service, Princess Eugenie later shared a message of support on social media, posting a photograph of the order of service.
She wrote: “Wish Bea and I could have been celebrating tonight with our family. Wishing the Princess of Wales such a special evening at her incredible carol service. What an amazing message of love and hope.”
After the lunch concluded, Prince William was once again spotted behind the wheel as he drove away from the Palace.
Princess Charlotte was seen sitting in the front passenger seat, while the family’s longtime nanny, Maria Teresa Turrion Borrallo, sat in the back.
