Blake Lively- Justin Baldoni trail pushed for 2 months

Blake Lively and Justin Baldoni’s trial has been postponed for two months after Lively refused to settle the issue as recommended by the judge.

Originally, the trial was scheduled to begin on March 9, 2026. Now, the civil trial in the U.S. District Court for the Southern District of New York has been pushed to May 18.

During a post-discovery hearing on Tuesday, Dec. 9, Judge Lewis J. Liman announced the scheduling delay, noting that his upcoming criminal trials must take priority.

“As important as this case is … criminal trials take precedent,” he explained.

The court has now set the next hearing for Jan. 22, when oral arguments on the summary judgment will be heard.

Judge Liman also directed the parties to reach out to a designated magistrate judge to explore potential settlement discussions.

In December 2024, Blake Lively, 38, filed a lawsuit against her It Ends With Us director and co-star Justin Baldoni, 41, along with others, accusing them of sexual harassment and retaliation, allegations Baldoni denies.

Lively is seeking more than $160 million in damages.

Baldoni had previously filed a $400 million countersuit claiming extortion and defamation, but a judge has since dismissed it.

The legal controversy that began in 2024 and continued through 2025 now looks set to extend into 2026.
