Andrew, who is now known as Andrew Mountbatten-Windsor after losing his royal titles, has been hit with a massive blow.
The former Duke of York now faces a setback of thousands of pounds as he prepares to leave the Royal Lodge.
The 65-year-old, along with his former wife Sarah Ferguson, was notified to vacate the home after they lost their titles due to their ties with Jeffrey Epstein.
Upon vacating the residence, Andrew would have been due £488,342.21, which he will not receive now, according to information presented to Parliament's Public Accounts Committee.
The Crown Estate has informed MPs that the 30-room property has dilapidated over time and needs renovation.
“Our initial assessment is that while the extent of end of tenancy dilapidations and repairs required are not out of keeping with a tenancy of this duration, they will mean in all likelihood that Andrew Mountbatten-Windsor will not be owed any compensation for early surrender of the lease once dilapidations are taken into account.” the Crown Estate stated.
The former couple had been residing at the residence as they had lease over it till 2078.
The cost of renovation will now cancel out any money owed to the former tenant.
The disgraced son of Queen Elizabeth will move into a property on Sandringham estate that will be privately funded by King Charles.
