Canadian rapper Drake has recently made a confession that left his fans shocked, revealing surprising details about his upcoming project.
The 39-year-old megastar, known for his chart-topping hits, admitted that he was “tired” of the standard album rollout and wanted a new creative “challenge.”
U My Everything hitmaker has reportedly thrown the rulebook out the window for his upcoming album, Iceman.
This time, instead of the usual singles-and-video approach, he has unveiled a series of cinematic livestreams, combining music premieres with dramatic storytelling and high-end visuals.
Drake says the experimental approach felt like the “perfect mix of risk and reward”.
In a rare interview with Complex, he admitted: “I have been dying to act and have been dying for a challenge.
The game is extremely calm seas right now… so once we discussed a livestream rollout, it just sounded perfect.”
He confessed he’s grown tired of the repetitive “single, video” promo cycle from his early label days.
Notably, the livestreams have already become must-watch events.
Episode one, from a Toronto ice warehouse, debuted What Did I Miss?, a moody, introspective track.
Episode two, filmed in Manchester, featured Which One and the third, shot in Milan, teased Dog House with Julia Wolf and YEAT, plus a Cash Cobain remix of Somebody Loves Me.
