Prince Harry appeared to step into full protective mode during his latest Hollywood outing with Meghan Markle with a body language expert claiming he’s “acting like her personal bodyguard.”
The couple, both dressed in sleek black ensembles, attended Kris Jenner’s 007-themed 70th birthday party at Jeff Bezos’s Beverly Hills mansion on November 8.
While Meghan dazzled in her understated elegance, Harry’s posture drew particular attention.
Body language expert Judi James told the Daily Mail that Harry’s stance, walking slightly ahead of his wife while holding her hand behind him, echoed the “alpha protector” body language often seen in Travis Kelce, fiancé of Taylor Swift.
“His hand forms a firm ‘Big Paw’ grasp around Meghan’s,” James explained.
“It projects strength and control, a signal that he’s there to shield her from the glare of the cameras.”
"There are several rankings of A-list body language behaviour on arrival at a venue or party, and they vary between the Kim Kardashian 'Solo Goddess' camera-friendly look to an Adele 'hiding my face with my bag' pose that suggests she's too cool and famous to need the publicity…” she said.
"But Meghan also performs a smile of utter delight here. Her cheeks are rounded, and her lips are hiked up high at the corners to create a symmetric shape.”
"A smile like this will be an acknowledgement to the fans and the cameras, but without any posing effort or showboating", she added.
