Prince William has made a vulnerable admission about his wife’s cancer struggle and how his three kids dealt with it.
Kate Middleton was diagnosed with an undisclosed form of cancer through post-operative tests after she had major abdominal surgery in January 2024.
The future king revealed that he and Kate decided to be as open as possible with their kids, George, Charlotte and Louis about their mother’s health.
The couple were honest about answering “difficult questions” asked by their children.
Speaking to Brazilian television, William said that honesty was the best policy in their situation.
“Every family goes through difficult times and faces challenges together. How you deal with those moments makes all the difference.”, he said.
He added “We decided to tell our children everything, both the good news and the bad. We explain to them why certain things happen and why they might feel upset.”
2024 was a difficult time for the royal family as along with Kate, King Charles was also diagnosed with cancer.
William said him and Kate tried to be as “present” as possible while juggling their royal duties.
