American actress Sydney Sweeney makes the headlines again after feud rumours with Zendaya
Sydney Sweeney, who is known for her role in Euphoria, was being considered one of the fastest-rising stars in the Hollywood industry.
Apart from her recent controversies, Sydney faces a major setback after her new film Christy was released on November 7, 2025.
Although the new project was highly anticipated with intricate details about the actress’ hardwork coming to light, the biopic fell short of the bold promises.
According to reports, the movie was able to make $1.3 million with its debut across the world with an average of nearly $649 per theatre.
The tough start at the box office landed the project amongst “Top 10 worst box office openings.”
It is being speculated by the online community that her recent American Eagle campaign is the reason for the unexpectedly low opening.
One of the X users poked fun at the Immaculate actress: “She’s highly deserving of this outcome… oh I absolutely LOVE IT for her.”
Another critic called it “an extremely uninteresting film about nothing,” which is based on the life of real life boxer Christy Martin.

This came after it was reported a feud between her and co-star of HBO series Zendaya, "denying to stand next to each other."
It was also noted that the Spider-Man star seemingly doesn’t want to promote next season of the series with Sydney.
The online community again traced the drama between the two back to her jeans ad, which was deemed racist and controversial.
