Hilary Duff drops bombshell new project after 10 years

Hilary Duff has officially returned to the music scene with her long-awaited new single, Mature, ending a more-than-ten-year hiatus from pop music. 

The 38-year-old singer-and-actress teamed up with Grammy-winning songwriter and producer Matthew Koma, known for hits with Britney Spears and Pink, and co-wrote the track with Madison Love.

Described as “autofiction inspired by romantic misadventures in her formative years,” Mature sees Hilary reflecting on her past. 

Speaking about the track, she said: “‘Mature’ is a little conversation my present self is having with my younger self. 

It’s a chuckle, a wink, and a sense of being grateful that we are sure-footed in where we landed.”

Foe those unfamiliar, the release marks her first music since her 2015 album Breathe In. Breathe Out. 

Fans eager for more will also be treated to a new docuseries charting her comeback. 

Notably, the series is set to explore the highs and lows of returning to the spotlight, promising intimate behind-the-scenes footage of recording sessions, live show rehearsals, and family life.

Directed and executive-produced by Grammy-nominated Sam Wrench, famed for Taylor Swift: The Eras Tour, the docuseries will feature personal archive clips, stylised interviews, and performances, offering fans a front-row seat to Hilary’s journey.
