Charli XCX, widely recognised for her chart-topping tracks, has teased a brand-new song titled House, which is set to feature on the soundtrack of Emerald Fennell’s upcoming erotic film Wuthering Heights.

The 33-year-old Brat hitmaker revealed she has collaborated with The Velvet Underground legend John Cale on the haunting track.

Notably, she took to Instagram to break the news about the track, which is set to drop on Monday, November 10, 2025.

The film, starring Margot Robbie and Jacob Elordi, promises a dark, passionate take on the classic tale, and Charli says the song perfectly captures that stormy spirit.

“After being so deep in Brat, I was excited to escape into something entirely new,” she told fans online.

“When I think of Wuthering Heights, I think of passion and pain. I think of England, the Moors, the mud, and the cold.”

The British singer, who called herself a “huge fan” of Cale, said she was inspired by his philosophy that “any song has to be both elegant and brutal”.

She added, “I sent him some songs, and we started talking specifically about House. He recorded something and sent it to me… it made me cry.”

After the massive success of Brat, which earned her Grammys, BRITs, and a viral ‘Brat Summer’ craze, she admitted she never expected the record to be a hit.

“I actually made that album thinking I’d get dropped by my label,” she confessed. “But here I am, still going.”

What can fans expect from 'Wuthering Heights'?

Wuthering Heights is Emerald Fennell’s highly anticipated upcoming erotic drama, inspired by Emily Brontë’s timeless gothic novel of the same name.

The film reimagines the classic tale of obsession, desire, and revenge set against the haunting backdrop of the English moors.

Fennell is expected to bring her signature dark, stylish edge to the adaptation.

Blending period drama with a modern psychological twist, the movie is poised to be one of the most talked-about releases of 2025, with a soundtrack that mirrors its haunting beauty and emotional intensity.
