'The Running Man' teaser ignites eagerness among fans

The official pages of The Running Man shared a teaser containing visuals of behind-the-scenes footage and stunts from the film production.

The movie has a plot featuring participants, known as runners, who are pitted against a team of murderous hunters whose objective is to eliminate and kill them.

More interestingly, any runner who stays alive for 30 days wins their life along with the grand prize of $1 billion.

The thriller was captioned, “One man. A game designed to break him. And a world desperate to watch him fall.”

It continued, “The stakes are high, the odds are rigged, but when the system’s built to make you lose, you don’t quit, you…RUN.”

The action film of Edgar Wright’s starred Glen Powell characterised as Ben Richards who is the ultimate “David vs Goliath” story.

The 37-year-old isn’t just playing for money, but fighting for his life, his family, and a chance to defeat the system of control. A story of survival inspired from the Stephen King 1982 novel.

Edgar Wright stated it as a “great resource to create this whole other universe”.

The producer went on, “I read the book when I was 14, but it really stayed with me.”

Glenn Powell had always been a fan of Edgar’s work. He stated in the teaser,

“Edgar put so much thought into every single frame of this movie, and so getting to live inside of this world was just incredibly special.”

Josh Brolin gushed, “this looks unbelievable”, Colman Domingo cheered, “its going to be fun. Its going be wild.” And Glenn beamed, “the action is nonstop.”

For the unfamiliar, the suspense black comedy action film is set to release in the UK on November 12 and opens in US cinemas and worldwide on November 14.
