Prince Harry reportedly supports his father’s decision to remove Andrew’s titles and evict him from the royal Lodge.
On October 30, the Palace released an official statement announcing that the former duke will no longer be called “Prince”.
The decision was made after Andrew announced that he will be renouncing his royal titles, including the Duke of York on October 17.
Now it has been reported that Harry supports his father’s decision amid the public backlash.
As per The Sun, Prince Harry reached out to King Charles after the decision was announced expressing his support for him.
“Prince Harry backs King’s decision to strip Andrew of titles & boot him out of Royal Lodge after close contact with dad”, the outlet stated.
The father-son duo had been distant since Harry left UK to settle in US but they “may have been in touch in recent days” after their private meeting during the Duke’s trip to UK in September.
The Duke also supports the monarch’s decision to end Andrew’s allowance and eviction from the Royal Lodge where he had been residing for two decades.
Andrew owned the lease over the residence till 2078 but he was notified to surrender it.
