The already strained relationship between Prince William and his uncle Prince Andrew reportedly reached breaking point after a “rude” remark Andrew made about Kate Middleton, a royal insider has claimed.
According to royal biographer Andrew Lownie in his book Entitled: The Rise and Fall of the Yorks, the comment deeply angered William, who has long been protective of his wife.
While the exact words remain unknown, the alleged insult was said to have “sent William over the edge.”
As reported by The Mirror, sources suggest that William’s fury over the remark strengthened his resolve to support King Charles’s decision to strip Andrew of his titles and remove him from his long-held home, Royal Lodge.
Palace insiders say the relationship between the future King and the disgraced royal is now “beyond repair.”
