Kate Middleton has reportedly taken up a calming new hobby, and it’s one she shares with Meghan Markle.
Acclaimed artist Chris Levine, best known for his ethereal portraits of the late Queen Elizabeth II, revealed that Princess Kate has recently begun practising meditation under his guidance.
Levine, who famously photographed the Queen for her Equanimity portrait in 2004, spoke to the Daily Mail about his work, and accidentally let Kate’s new passion slip.
After realising he’d revealed more than intended, the artist quickly added, “I think I’ve said too much!”
The photographer’s serene portrait Lightness of Being, depicting the Queen with her eyes closed, reportedly inspired Levine’s own meditation journey, one he has now passed on to Kate.
Meghan Markle previously described her “relationship with meditation” on her former lifestyle blog The Tig, calling it “the quietude that rocked my world.”
Prince Harry has also spoken about his daily mindfulness practice, saying he uses quiet mornings to “work out, walk the dog, or meditate.”
