Taylor Swift devastated a majority of her fanbase by not releasing a stripped down, acoustic version of Evermore like she did for its sister album Folklore, but it seems like a netizen has stepped up to offer them the next best thing.
An internet user who goes by the name of ‘Gray Connors’ is going viral for voice sounding extremely similar to the world famous pop star, and also because she is giving the Gold Rush singer’s ninth studio album the love that it deserves.
The woman begins her videos by telling viewers that fans of the album “are never” going to get the studio sessions they long for, likely since it has been so long since the album was released.
As a resut, Gray is putting out the strikingly similar sounding covers from her “cottage in Connecticut” and an acoustic guitar.
Since posting, the interner personality’s covers are going viral on social media since her claims of sounding like Taylor are being proven to be true.
Netizens are rejoicing with remarks like “Close enough. Release Reputation TV since Taylor isn’t anymore,” and “this is beautiful, you're the best.”
“This song makes me cry every time I hear it and now there's this version?????” wrote a third internet user, while a fourth added, “THIS IS INSANE.”
Yes, Evermore was Taylor’s eighth consecutive number-one debut on the Billboard 200, with various other accolades.
