Nicki Minaj, who is notable for being "Queen of Rap," was seemingly cancelled after Cardi B rose to fame and released new album Am I The Drama?.
Before the 42-year-old rapper’s new album comes out, Nicki’s older music is seeing an unexpected surge in streams on music platform.
The Pink Friday hitmaker’s song Beez in The Trap, featuring 2 Chainz, is presumably back on the rise after a new trend on TikTok and other platforms.
According to the reports, the track’s stream has “increased by 460% on Spotify” during their month. It has now garnered around 150 million plays since its release in 2012.
Appreciating the singer for her milestone, one X user noted that this is the evidence of waiting “long enough, old hits become new bops again.”
Another netizen gushed that “she keeps pushing the limits,” while a third fan called her “a global superstar” and “queen.”
Meanwhile, a critic claimed that Cardi had a similar song, asking: “How come that’s not going viral.”
This came after the musician embroiled in an online drama with the WAP hitmaker after announcing the date of her new album, March 27, 2026.
Nicki later cancelled the new record, seemingly blaming Roc Nation founder Jay-Z for the decision.
However, she soon made a comeback by reversing the cancellation and mocking Beyonce’s husband with an AI-generated image of him.
