According to reports, things have not been going smoothly for the cast and crew of Outer Banks while filming in Dubrovnik, Croatia.
Based on an article from TMZ, the co-creator and writer of the series, Jonas Pate allegedly grabbed and violently shook a production assistant while screaming at her.
Stars Chase Stokes and Madelyn Cline had to step in to put a stop to the situation, claimed the sources.
Stokes pulled the director away to calm him down while Cline tried to settle the overall environment.
The outlet further claimed that filming continued afterwards as tensions had already been high on set and the crew were hardly surprised by Pate’s behaviour.
He is best known for his work on Outer Banks, with the hit Netflix series coming out in 2020.
Pate also recently launched an Amazon Prime video series called The Runarounds, following several young musicians, starring his daughter, Lilah Pate.
In an interview, the young actress opened up about working with her father, “Growing up on a film set, I was always drawn to it. I never wanted to leave. I was very much [my dad’s] mini me, his sidekick, always begging to be on set. After I had booked a few roles on my own, he saw that this is really what I wanted to do with my life.”
